Seems like it was almost tailor made for the Dan A4-SFX which can only accomodate the stock Asetek 92mm AIO sold only on their store. I'm sure there was significant enough uptick/interest in that otherwise niche product that they made this one for that market of enthusiasts.
The article says that it was co-designed by Asetek and Dan Cases so it's certainly built to fit the A4-SFX. It's great to see it sold at a fairly reasonable price for what will likely be a low-volume product. Hopefully more cases are designed to take advantage of such a niche cooler and we can see more creative SFF cases in the future.
Material costs IMO just because it is smaller, you think you may sell less, whatever reason, this should not be more $ than the average will whoop crud out of it higher performance "standard" CLC model
Cant wait to see this in action (being bulit) not sure its really great performance wise tho.. I.m not really sure of the whole noise/value/temp vs a good air cooler eg Noctua lx9x65 ?? Any thoughts..?
Noctua lx9x65, as the name implies, is 65mm tall. Dan Cases A4SFX and Dr. Saber's Zentry only support coolers up to 47mm tall, hence why this Asetek AIO cooler makes sense if it can be squeezed in. There are others, like the Cryorig C7, that does an excellent job for its size, but it creates a lot of turbulence in a 47mm space, and therefore becomes quite noisy.

Oh, wow. Even Asetek's press release has the Noctua fan. Is this the first AIO with stock Noctua fans?https://www.asetek.com/newsroom/press-releases/201...
Asetek's link to OCuk makes it sound like a bundle: $120 for the AIO + Noctua NF-A9x14 + Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.
